They customised a MINI Clubman, producing the “police” car you see here, with its pink trim and wicked, leather-clad interior. (I’d better not dwell on some of the finer details, since this is a blog for all the family.)

No wonder it fetched $70,000 at a charity auction.

Agent Provocateur’s choice of car shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. They’ve always been fond of the “mini” look: nothing in their collection is remotely tent-like. There’s nothing you’d mistake for a burqa or a tarpaulin.

In other words, anyone searching their website for an XL Fair Isle sweater or a baggy pair of navy joggies would be looking for a very long time indeed.

So, the chances of them pimping a pick-up truck or a dormobile were even skimpier than their lingerie.
