MINIs – particularly Scottish MINIs – as I needn’t point out to a discerning, cultured and intelligent person like you, are the most beautiful cars in the world. So it’s no wonder people are inspired by us to create works of art.
OK, Damien Hirst hasn’t yet carved a MINI into two and immersed the halves in tanks of formaldehyde. But thank goodness for that. I’m a wee bit on the squeamish side and can’t bear the sight of brake fluid.
Check out the craftsmanship here. If there’s a finer use of Lego, I’ve yet to see it. OK, the house that James May knocked together recently wasn’t half bad. But this? This should be on a marble plinth at Tate Modern.
